Alsace wine, like an art
Even though we started out as independent winegrowers in the 1600s, the village lands have a great history. It was in fact from the year 742 that the Domaine Royal Mérovingien cites the village of Rorschwihr. Coveted by many abbeys and monasteries, the village derives its richness from the diversity of its subsoils.
In particular, there are 21 types of subsoil, which makes it possible to produce exceptional wines. For our grands crus, our late harvests or our selections of noble grains, we work in particular on physiological and phenological maturities.
A historic place for exceptional wines
As a wine producer, independent winemaker and owner harvesting in Alsace, your Domaine Rolly-Gassmann works its vines by hand.
Our geographical location is ideal for our production. Located on a unique geological mosaic, our land is predominantly limestone, which gives the identity of many wines. It is in particular thanks to this peculiarity that our ancestors, years before, were able to refine the identity of the 12 most famous crus or 12 terroirs.
